Veneers are bonded to the front of your teeth and can dramatically increase the look of your teeth. Often, they are used as an alternative to dental crowns but may not be a permanent solution to some long-term problems.
Two or three visits are usally necessary for the process. The teeth are prepared by lightly buffing and shaping the surface to allow for the addition of the veneer. A mold or impression of the teeth is taken and a shade (color) will then be chosen by you and the dentist.
During the second visit we use special liquids to ensure a durable bond. We then use bonding cement between the tooth and veneer and shine a special light beam to harden and set the bond.
Our dental team will give you care instructions that include guidelines for proper brushing, flossing, and regular check-ups. These are all designed to increase the life of your new veneers.
